In Perfect Harmony
30" x 30" | Oil/Canvas | 2011 click painting to view larger This painting is part of a group exhibition called "The Real Thing" at Mason Murer Fine Art in Atlanta, Georgia. The exhibition commemorates Coca-Cola's 125th year. Thinking about the entire breadth and history of Coca-Cola, I found myself particularily interested in the songs, jingles and slogans they have used over the decades. They do that thing where they transport you back to a time and place. There is a remarkable blind optomism in this song. Perfectly naive for the time. Although, at the same time, there is also an undeniable universality in the Coca-Cola brand. It is almost as if Coca-Cola exists to offer a respite from all the doom and gloom the media pushes on us. email info@masonmurer.com or call 1-(404)-879-1500 for information on pricing and availability « RETURN TO AVAILABLE PAINTINGS |
